BIOGRAPHY – John M Caie Wednesday, 6 January 2010

John M Caie was born and raised in north-east Scotland and attended the University of Aberdeen.  While working as a civil servant, Caie wrote poetry on the side, primarily about rural life in north-east Scotland.  His most famous poem, The Puddock, is regularly studied in Scottish primary schools.  Caie was born in 1879 and died in 1949.
