Jaime, Sjohne, Lauren, and Robbie’s Stories

Jaime carries the poem, “The Jaguar” by Ted Hughes, where his favourite line is:

“Fatigued with indolence, Tiger and lion…”

Sjohne carries the poem, “Black Friday,” by James Copeland.  Sjohne writes, “I like this because it is humourous, and shows us to act more carefully.”

Lauren carries the poem “Friends” by Elizabeth Jennings, where her favourite stanza is:

‘Who’s always on my side.

Who never cares what others say,

Who lets me come and hide'”

Lauren writes, “This poem means a lot to me!”

Robbie carries the poem “The Frog” by Hilarie Belloc,

“Be kind and gentle to the frog,

and don’t call him names,

as ‘slimy skin’ , or

‘polly wog’ or,

likewise ‘Ugly James'”
