Edinburgh Napier University has been in full Carry a Poem mode, giving away Carry a Poem books on campus earlier this week.  The students were joined by television newsreader and Napier graduate Catriona Shearer, who donned a poetry T-shirt to spread the word.

The group also recited their favourite poems on request as part of the city-wide celebration of verse. Catriona, an Edinburgh Napier journalism graduate, said she was delighted to get involved with the campaign and nominated Robert Burns’ ‘John Anderson, My Jo’ as her favourite bit of verse.
